About the Pacific Rim Real Estate Society (PRRES) Annual Conference

PRRES holds a conference in late January each year. The Conference aims to nurture and advance understanding and cooperation in the rapidly changing environment of property education and industry. With Australian and International speakers at the forefront of research and policy-making, the conference offers a challenging professional development experience and networking opportunity.

The 2025 PRRES Conference will be held in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia from the 12th to the 15th of January 2025. We look forward to seeing you all there.

  1. Phd Colloquium – please check your allocated session time as there have been minor changes between 5-10 minutes to accommodate late notifications.
  2. Wednesday panel session : “Academic career strategies for Early Career Researchers”. If you would like to invite a colleague to attend this panel session  (complementary), which commences at 9.30 am on Wednesday,  please contact us through the Contact tab and Email Us.  Delegates who registered for the conference are automatically included in the catering for this session so there is no need to send an email.  However as some delegates have indicated they are unable to attend the Wednesday morning, PRRES Inc is extending an invitation to non- registered ECRs to attend the session complimentary and join us for the morning tea and closing ceremony.

Case Study Competition

The competition provides students with a real life business situation in the form of a case study. Based on the case given, teams are to conduct in-depth analysis and create a proposal/strategy on how to move the business forward. Business case competitions share a vision of fostering personal development of the students who take part. They allow opportunities to improve analytical, team-work, communication & presentation skills. Students are able enhance their problem solving ability & develop skills across various business disciplines, including finance, marketing, operations, management & problem solving.
